From salmon farming to whitefish and seafood innovation
In Vardø, close to the Barents Sea and its pristine fishing grounds, we have a new state-of-the-art plant where we pack the catch from our fishing vessels in fresh or frozen condition.
We have three main locations:
- Our new packing plant in Vardø, close to the Barents Sea
- FV Faywhich can pack fresh fish and freeze fish onboard. FV Fay mostly unloads at our packing plant in Vardø but can unload at any harbour.
- Our central freezing storage and logistics/exportcentre in Kristiansund
For the frozen fish, as soon as the fish is frozen, we transport it to our frezing store in Kristiansund; Sea-Way Logistics.
Sea-Way Logistics and Nordvest Lagerhotell are independent companies providing services in logistics operation and frozen and dry warehousing. Services include storage, transportation by truck, airplane and vessel and forwarding services. The facility is centrally located at the fishery base at the Port of Kristiansund with good sailing access and quays. The terminal has a capacity of 24,000 m³ and a storage capacity of 4,500 tonnes. We have moving racks with a capacity of 4,300 pallet places. The total floor area including freezing room, office, test room and common area is 3,000 m².
