Key people with experience from the Norwegian salmon farming industry have adopted the handling and cooling technology to the wild whitefish catch innovation.

When frozen in the plate freezers at the Vardø packing plant, or onboard FV Fay (CO2 gas), the temperature is reduced to minus 0.5 ˚C. This temperature level will be maintained until the fish reaches the end user in fresh condition. If frozen in our plate freezers the temperature will be maintained at minus 24 ˚C.
